Child and Family Services
The goals of the Child and Family Services are:
  • To provide services to children, families, and adults in an easily
    accessible manner and in a safe, secure and confidential
    environment.
  • To allow clients/families maximum input and choice in assessing
    needs and developing an individualized, strengths-based
    treatment plan to meet those needs.
  • To fully incorporate Child and Family Teams (CFT) for Title 19/21
    children in developing the Individualized Service Plan and also
    monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the plan and
    outcomes of treatment.
  • To assist parents and their children to develop new, effective and
    ongoing skills to deal with assessed child and family issues and
    provide a non-threatening environment where these new skills
    can be practiced and acquired.
  • To assure all clients in need of further assistance with both prior
    skills and new problems will be addressed in a timely manner.
  • To guarantee that the Arizona Vision and the 12 Principles are
    the driving forces behind each service plan for Title 19/21
    children and that each child and family has a plan utilizing the
    state format and driven in large part by a Strengths, Needs and
    Cultural Discovery which continues through the treatment process.
  • To provide services that are consistent with Evidence-based
    Practices.
Outpatient Services

The Child and Family Services Department is located at the Outpatient Services Building
at 2695 East Industrial Drive in Flagstaff, AZ.  

In addition, a therapist and a Family Involvement Specialist are also out-stationed at the
Coconino County Juvenile Court in Flagstaff.  For the past eight years, the department has
also provided on-site services at a number of elementary and middle schools in the
Flagstaff area, as well as prevention services at Killip Elementary.
The Child and Family Services Department does not use a waiting list.

The Industrial Drive site meets all applicable city, county, state and ADA standards for
disabled access. There is also staff at the facility trained in the use of signing and certain
communication equipment has been accessed to accommodate the hearing impaired.
