Compliance Director
The primary function of this position is to provide direct administrative leadership and supervision to the above-
mentioned Compliance and Quality Improvement staff. This position develops and implements agency-wide
initiatives to monitor compliance for Joint Commission, NARBHA, ADHS/DBHS and OBHL standards. This position
is responsible to oversee training to agency staff to maintain compliance with current and new standards from
external governing agencies. This position is responsible for the oversight of demographic data transmission
and the monitoring of client services/data validation from enrollment to discharge/disenrollment. This position will
develop, implement and monitor system-wide Quality Improvement initiatives. This position evaluates staff
resource allocation and monitors the program budget.
Required:
• Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or related human services field.
• One – three years managerial experience
• One - three years Compliance experience, preferable with Behavioral Health
• 2-3 years experience in Quality Improvement
• Thorough knowledge of accepted medical records practices, including medical records ethics,
classification, and nomenclature. (Knowledge and experience with ICD-9-CM coding encouraged.)
Preferred:
• Minimum of three years in Arizona Behavioral Health System.
• Thorough knowledge of the requirements of Joint Commission, NARBHA, ADHS/DBHS and OBHL.
