Director of Nursing (PACU)

This position oversees all nursing and social work services, as related to client care for inpatient and nursing
services for the outpatient nursing department, meeting both ethical requirements and accreditation
requirements of JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation), NARBHA (Northern AZ Regional Behavioral Health
Association) and State Licensure.  Administrative responsibilities include planning, managing and evaluating
staff, as well as processes used in the delivery of health care by the PACU staff, outpatient nursing staff and
nursing staff in the integration clinic.  This position is also part of the Infection Control Team and provides input
into the monitoring, surveillance and data collection of the Infection Control Program. This position provides
direction and supervision for the Crisis department through the Crisis Manager to maintain all contractual
obligations to crisis assessment and consumer disposition required by NARBHA. Additional duties include
assisting in budget development for PACU, Crisis and Out Patient Nursing department and the Integration Clinic;
developing policies and procedures for above departments and preparing and monitoring request for Proposal
contracts; hiring, training and evaluation of nursing staff, Social Work and BHS/Support employees.
This position directly supervises the PAC Nurse Manager, Outpatient Nurse Manager and the Crisis Manager.

Required:
•        Masters Degree in Nursing or related field with a minimum of three years nursing experience working in the
Behavioral Health field and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience – OR - RN with current license with a
minimum of seven years of experience working as a RN, with a minimum of three years working in Behavioral
Health and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
•        Must possess a current license as a professional Registered Nurse in Arizona as determined by the
Arizona Board of Registered Nursing.
•        Must be Arizona fingerprint/certified.  Lack of certification status as per licensing standards is grounds for
immediate dismissal. Must have valid Arizona driver’s license and insurance clearance to drive clinic vehicle if
applicable.
•        Minimum age 21.
