Psychiatry and Medication Services
All clinical departments at The Guidance center can refer to the Medical
Department for:
The medical department provides no direct therapy interventions.
In addition to the above services, an outpatient nursing unit is available to monitor necessary
physical signs for specific medications, coordinate care among the patient, psychiatrist and
pharmacy, monitor medication compliance for selected patients, give intramuscular injections and
keep a number of statistical log and service books and records related to medication management.
Services are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Department for:
- Psychiatric evaluations.
- Psychological evaluations.
- Medication assessment.
- Medication monitoring.
- Assistance in determining Level of Care and placements in out-of-home treatment facilities.
