ACCESSING SERVICES

A client, family member, or referring professional may call our
Information Referral Staff for assistance at (928) 714-5221.
Staff will discuss needs, provide assistance, or help initiate a
referral. Our Information and Referral Staff have in -depth
knowledge about our programs and strive to provide the
highest quality service.

Training Workshop conducted by Dr.
Elizabeth Jacobs, author of “Will I Ever See
You Again? Attachment Challenges for Foster
Children: A Primer for the Adults in their
Lives."
July 30, 2-5 pm. NPC Showflake
Campus. No cost. Recommended for
counselors, educators, caseworkers,
psychologists, therapists, attorneys, foster and
adoptive parents and siblings. Training
Synopsis: This workshop reviews attachment
theories as they apply specifically to foster
children, identifying factors in the foster care
system that contribute to attachment problems
and offers suggestions to improve the child’s
chance to develop meaningful future
relationships. Certificate of attendance will be
available for continuing education credit
hours. Presenter: Elizabeth Jacobs has a
doctorate in inter-disciplinary studies, a
masters degree in educational psychology and
a bachelors in psychology, all from Arizona
State University. She has been a professor of
psychology and frequently presents on
attachment and bonding for FCRB, CASA and
dependency court trainings. She presented to
the National Council of Juvenile and Family
Judges in June 2008, Arizona New
Dependency Court Judges Training, Idaho
Child and Family Institute, Beyond the Bench
Conference in Monterey, Calif., and many
others. Her book, “Will I Ever See You Again?
Attachment Challenges for Foster Children: A
Primer for the Adults in their Lives” is currently
